Marsh Harrier over Folly Pond
Having mentioned yesterday about the Teal numbers starting to creep up on Folly Pond, well the Marsh Harrier discovered the same thing this morning. Cracking views of the juvenile bird flying over and flushing all the birds as observed from Sharp's Lookout. It was also seen leisurely flying over the Whooper Pond. The Mallard and Mute Swans were not too keen on this and swam into a tight knot in the centre of the pool. Pairs of Mute Swans are beginning to return to the reserve and can now be seen on various of the pools. Snipe and a Little Grebe were observed on the Flood Ground together with all the ducks.
Unfortunately the Pasture Pathway remains closed. Wellington boots are still recommended for Meadow and River Walks.
