Our regular but none the less beautiful birds spotted throughout the reserve & grounds today! The best places to spot them are as follows;
RAMSAR & SAND MARTIN HIDES; Shoveler, Shelduck, Mallard, Tufted duck, Teal, Gadwall, Wigeon, Grey Heron, Cormorant, Lapwing, Little Grebe, Mute swans, Canada & Greylag geese and Black headed gulls.
SCRAPE HIDE; Snipe, Teal, Shelduck, Moorhen, Mallard, Canada & Greylag geese.
ARUN RIVER LIFE; Little Grebe, Little Egrets, Tufted duck, Teal, Canada geese, Mute Swans, Kingfisher & Shelduck.
WETLANDS DISCOVERY; Little Grebe, Kingfisher, Pochard, Tufted duck, Water vole.
HEDGEROWS/ WILD BIRD FEEDERS; Reed bunting, Filed fare, Goldfinch, Bullfinch, Chaffinch, Blue/ Great/ Long-tailed & Coal tit, Wren, Robin, Black bird, Gold & Fire Crest.
RESERVE; Green & Great spotted wood pecker, Red wing, Starlings, Pheasant, Dunnock, Song thrush, Grey & Pied wagtail, Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, Red kite, Water rail, Mandarin duck, Coot, Moorhen, Mallard, Mute swans, Herring & Black headed gulls, Magpies, crows, Rooks, Jackdaws and Water voles.
