Misty morning, limited news, sorry.

No hide round due to the dense mist rolling in from the Severn estuary. It cleared by 1100hrs, there were plenty of birdwatchers on site so we may get some additional news via our Twitter account later.

Just about visible on the South Lake at 0900hrs were 20 Avocet (some showing nesting interest in the islands), 155 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Oystercatcher and 30 Dunlin as well as 60 Shoveler and 7 Cormorants. At least one Red Knot was reported on South Lake.

On the Tack Piece, Pintail, Shoveler, Wigeon and Teal could be seen near the hide.

At 0815hrs The Rushy had at least 145 Bewick's Swans, Pochard, Shelduck and Pintail were also present in decent numbers.

Two Great-spotted Woodpecker were seen along the South Finger path.
