More Mediterranean Gulls
At least 6 different Mediterranean Gulls (2 pairs plus 2 single birds) this afternoon/evening around the Mere all varying in extent of black and white on the head. Also 2-3000 Black headed Gulls.
At least 4 Common Buzzard, 2-3 Kestrel and Sparrowhawk seen today, also the pair of Tawny Owls were in the area near Kingfisher hide. A few Redwings by the exit gate, Coal Tit and Long tailed Tits on the feeders.
At least 35 Cormorant around the Mere today along with the usual flock of 30+ Avocet, 80+ Oystercatcher, 20+ Black-tailed Godwit.
500+ Whooper Swans still on the Mere.
