An area of land at WWT Slimbridge has been transformed into a beautiful butterfly garden thanks to the generosity of Avon Metals.

The Gloucester Company donated £3,500 enabling Slimbridge horticultural team to clear the land and to create beds planted with a wide range of plant species which are attractive to butterflies and insects.

John Verdon, Chief Operating Officer from Avon Metals, came to officially open the garden on Thursday (August 29th).
