A few more species arrived on site today

Estuary Tower

The drake Green-winged Teal was on the Severn on the ebb tide with 16 Teal, a single Sanderling, LRP, 51 Dunlin, 57 Golden Plover and 48 Curlew were on the Dumbles over high tide plus 2 House Martin, a Swallow and 50 Sand Martin were feeding over the wood.

5 Redshank, 58 Wigeon, 1 Snipe, 28 Curlew, 24 Avocet, 46 Teal and 7 Shoveler and on the estuary- 20 Dunlin, 4 Curlew + 60 Shelduck.

Two Marsh Harriers were seen over the over Top New Piece/ Dumbles+ flock of Sand Martins feeding over Decoy Wood.

The 192 Russian White-fronted Geese went for a flight over the Forest of Dean side of the Severn.

South Lake

Six Sand Martins over the trees and ranging to car park.Little-ringed Plover, 259 Black-tailed Godwit, drake Pochard, pair Gadwall, 4 Oystercatcher, 41 Avocet and 28 Shoveler.

Rushy Hide

Drake Garganey mid-morning only, Little-ringed Plover.

Tack Piece

134 Wigeon, 3 Redshank, 12 Curlew and 3 Little Egrets.

Top New Piece

Red Kite over, 25 Avocet, 120 Wigeon, 3 Lapwing, 15 Gadwall and c30 Teal, two drake, one duck Pochard, three drake and one duck Pintail, 2 Avocet.

Bottom New Piece

Two Golden Plover, 13 Lapwing + 6 Redshank.

Decoy Wood/Duck Decoy

A Willow Warbler and Blackcap were heard singing in Decoy.
