Now 48 Bewick's Swans

The Bewick's Swan flock has increased to 48 with more arrivals overnight. The single bird Indri remains on the Big Pen with the rest of the flock spending their time between the Tack Piece and Rushy Pen. A second family has turned up, pair with one cygnet.

Rushy Hide

120 Pochard + the Pochard x Ferruginous male and presumed Pochard x Ring-necked Duck female. 300 Tufted Duck, 50 Pintail and Redshank among the other birds present.

Tack Piece

53 E. White-fronted Geese the Barnacle, Greylag and Canada Geese. 400 Lapwing on the field.

Holden Tower

Reed Bunting and Fieldfare in the bushes. Nine Cranes on the Dumbles.

South Lake

16 Black-tailed Godwit, 320 Lapwing, 6 Snipe (Hogarth Hide), 40 Shoveler, 90 Teal.

Top New Piece

1800 Wigeon, 51 Pintail, 12 Ruff, 10 Snipe, 200 Lapwing and 50 Dunlin.
