Chilean flamingos

ℹ️ Flamingos off show
Our flock of Chilean flamingos is currently being housed indoors. This is a temporary measure as a precaution to local avian influenza (bird flu).
We don't know how long this will last but we'll let you know as soon as they are safe to be back outdoors!
Thanks for your understanding.

Musa and Mimi, our Asian short-clawed otters, are due to have their annual health check on Friday 13 June (but fear not, they ain't superstitious!).

During their medical MOT, they'll be putting to good use the skills that they have learned with their handler Owen; who has taught them to roll onto their backs in preparation for examinations and scans without the need for anaesthetic. Very clever.

Unfortunately this means that they'll not be here for their usual morning talk at 11.30am and potentially the afternoon slot at 3pm. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause you during your visit.
