The Green Woodpecker was seen again around the Canoe Safari area in the collection, it was heard calling -'yaffling' before it was seen flying towards Marsh Moss Lane area. Grey Wagtails are being heard/seen most days now on site, a sure sign of autumn!

Also a juvenile Wood Sandpiper was seen again this afternoon from Ron Barker, this is presumably the same bird that has been around for a while now, but hadn't been reported since the 2nd of the month so possibly a new bird. A group of 4 juvenile Dunlin, 30+ Ruff, 50+ Snipe were on view from the same are this afternoon. Also excellent numbers of Teal building up there with at least 500 in the area.
