Millennium Wetlands
A large group of 32 Lapwing have been seen regularly on Deep Water Lake, often seen performing courtship displays. This is a huge increase on last years 11 Lapwing so we are hopeful for a successful spring for them. Chiffchaff have become a regular sighting and around the reserve often singing around the northern loop. A sparrowhawk has been seen hunting over Deep water lake regularly as well as a Red kite making frequent appearances. Long-tailed tits have begun to pair up and some have been seen carrying nesting material into hedgerows. A pair of Treecreepers have been seen by the feeders near the Peter Scott hide.
