The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, at low tide.
Main lake – visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre
Mallard +300, Tufted duck 31, Coot 2, Black-headed gull 16, Cormorant 1.
Wadermarsh - visible from Brent Hide
Redshank 2, Black-headed gull 4.
Freshwater lagoon – visible from Brent Hide and Crannog
Mallard 10.
Saline lagoon - visible from Limekiln observatory
Kingfisher 1 (splendid under the morning light!), Little grebe 3, Little egret 2.
Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory
Light-bellied brent geese +150, Shelduck +800, Oystercatcher +500, Curlew +50, Redshank +20,Black-tailed godwit +20.
