Recent Sightings - 15th April
The following sightings were recorded by Pete Matchett, Reserve Warden
Evidence of Kingfishers nesting in the area however we are unsure of the whereabouts, most likely along the river by the Montgomery Hide.
With the arrival of our Black Headed Gull breeding colony, some rarer species, such as Mediterranean Gull and Common Gull(one of which is a ringed bird) have also turned up which will hopefully breed amongst the gulls.
Swallows have finally returned with the first sightings reported on Sunday 12th April. They will hopefully reuse their old nest in the Round House as they have done for the last number of years.
