Highlights - Great White Egret, Ruff, Garganey, Spoonbills,

British Steel hide

With the recent morning high tides a good variety of waders have been pushed up on the Saline Lagoons including: Grey Plover, Ruff, Greenshank, Bar-tailed Godwit, Redshank, Dunlin, Knot, Black-tailed Godwit and Curlew. Up to 6 Spoonbills have been seen along with impressive numbers of Little Egrets and a brief flyby Great White Egret that flew down the estuary. It seems that the Cattle Egret has finally left after spending over 2 months on the reserve. It has been over a week since it was last seen so please let us know if you see it again.

Millennium Wetlands

Up to 6 Cetti's Warblers have been heard at various locations around the Millennium Wetlands but the best place is around the Deep Water Lake where they can be heard from the Peter Scott Hide. Little Grebes and Kingfishers can also bee seen from the Peter Scott or Herons Wing Hide.
