There have been many sightings of whitethroats and lesser whitethroats recently along with all the other spring favourites like the reed, sedge and willow warblers. A grasshopper warbler has also been heard! A beautiful male garganey was seen on deep water lake. One of the reserve staff was also lucky enough to get a rare sighting of a tawny owl this week.
