Recent Sightings 23rd-26th November

Avocet, Spotted Redshank, Spoonbill, Woodcock, Water Pipit

Over on the saline lagoons an Avocet was seen feeding in addition to the seven Spoonbill and a Sparrowhawk. There have been plenty of waders including Spotted Redshank, Green Sandpiper, Greenshank, Redshank, Black-tailed Godwit and plenty of Lapwing. There are still good numbers of wildfowl on the lagoons including Wigeon, Tufted Duck, Pochard and Shoveler. The Kingfisher has been showing well fishing close to the Steel Hide.

Millennium Wetlands

The Deep Water lake has had impressive numbers of wildfowl including Gadwall, Tufted Duck, Pochard and Shoveler. There have also been sightings of a Water Rail, Curlew and Little Egret on the Deep Water Lake. Throughout the Millennium Wetlands Cetti's Warbler, Goldfinch and Redwing can also be seen.

A Woodcock was spotted out on the Salix Fileds this week so keep an eye out.
