Recent sightings - 4th July
The following sightings were recorded today by Toni Castello, warden, at low tide.
Main lake - visible from Sensory garden and Visitor centre
Mallard +30, Tufted duck 3, Black-headed gull +46, Coot 3, Greylag 10 + 3 goslings.
Wadermarsh - visible from Wadermarsh lookout and Brent Hide
Black-headed gull 127, Little egret 1.
Freshwater lagoon - visible from Brent Hide and Crannog
Black-headed gull +250, Shelduck 3 ducklings, Mallard 10 adults + 5 ducklings.
Saline Lagoon - visible from Limekiln observatory
Black-headed gull 4, Little grebe 1, Shelduck 1.
Estuary – visible from Brent hide and Limekiln observatory
Black-headed gull 93,Oystercatcher 5, Lesser black-backed gull 1, Curlew 1.
