Recent Sightings
Recent Sightings from 27 July 2013 include:
- Main Lake - 4 Mute Swans, Shelduck with 7 young and Tufted duck with 2 ducklings
- Wader Marsh - Common Sandpiper, 2 Redshank and Shelduck with 5 ducklings
- Fresh Water Lagoon - Arctic Tern (pair), 4 Tufted ducks, Little Grebe and Gadwall with 6 ducklings
- Peninsula Saltmarsh - 1 Ringed Plover
- Limestone Lake - Heron and 5 Mute Swans
- Estuary - 12 Mute Swans
- Rabbits have been spotted on the reserve
- Butterflies and moths - 3 Brimstone butterflies at the Brickworks. Lots of Burnet moths around the reserve. Common Blues, Meadow Browns, Small White and Tortoiseshell around grass at the Limekiln. Also, Large White butterfly
- Plants - Yellow Rattle, Birds Foot Trefail and Kidney Vetch
