Recent Sightings, Bonaparte's Gull
An exciting visitor to the reserve today; a Bonaparte's gull! Only the second record of the species for the reserve and believed to be second for Carmarthenshire. The bird was seen from the Heron's wing and Sir Peter Scott hide until flying off with a group of Black-Headed Gulls just after 13:00. The bird hasn't reappeared yet but with so many gulls onsite and plenty of areas it could have re-settled, that's not to say it won't be re-found. Please see our twitter feed at @WWTLlanelli, our website and the Carmarthenshire Bird Club website for any updates.
