Reserve Update Saturday 7th April - Osprey!
Well our Whooper Swans have now departed, but we have had the first view of an Osprey on the nest via our webcam! The bird was seen briefly just after 10am and appeared to have a white leg ring. There are a good number of waders around with 21 Black-tailed Godwit and 72 Redshank on Folly Pond. There are displaying Lapwing at Avenue Tower as well as 76 Golden Plover in Lochar Field (you need good eyesight in order to pick them out in the muddy field).
