Reserve Update Wednesday 10th October
Well what a contrast weather wise compared to yesterday, lovely morning on the reserve with a cracking sunrise. Still large flocks of Barnacle Geese around with them favouring our Corner and Tower fields. Newfield hide is also a good spot to watch them close to. Flypasts from the merse of groups of Pink footed Geese. We will be a dusk flight on Saturday and a dawn flight on Sunday for the Barnacle Geese as part of our Wild Goose Festival. Please see our website for more details. Still a few Pintail hanging around the Folly Pond which is great to see. We did have a brief appearance of two drake Pochard there yesterday as well but they seem to have moved along again now.
