Ringed Redshank
While spring migrants are still on the move, now is a good time to look out for ringed birds.
Our warden, Mike, spotted this redshank on Wednesday. He sent the details off to a wader ringing project, who replied to let him know that this bird was ringed on the River Orwell, near Levington in Suffolk.
The redshank was first ringed as a juvenile on 30 September 2007.
If you see a bird with coloured rings, a good place to start looking for more information is the BTO website
