Sightings from this morning are listed below. There are a few species that we are trying to identify male to female ratios. This is recorded as 1.3 for example. It means 1 male & 3 females.
LAPWING HIDE: 5 Lapwing, 4 Shoveler, 14 Teal, Wood pigeon, Coot, Moorhen.
RAMSAR & SAND MARTIN HIDES: Lapwing, Coot, Mute swans, Shoveler, 3.4 Wigeon, Gadwall, Teal, 1.2 Pochard, Shelduck, Black headed & Herring gulls, Mallard, Moorhen.
SCRAPE HIDE: Canada geese, Teal, Shelduck, Mallard.
WETLANDS DISCOVERY: 3.1 Pochard, Tufted duck, Canada & Greylag geese, Little Grebe, Mallard.
RESERVE & GROUNDS: Water rail, Grey heron, Cormorant, Kingfisher, Mandarin duck, Grey wagtail, Dunnock, Reed bunting, Gold finch, Green finch, Chaffinch, Robin, Red poll, Blackbird, Song thrush, Wren, Blue/ Great & Long-tailed tit, Great spotted woodpecker, Pheasant, Jackdaw, Magpie, Rook, Peregrine, Buzzard.
