Shelduck and teal numbers up

The odd wigeon is making an appearance from the Scrape Hide and shelduck and teal numbers are increasing on site. Keep an eye out for bullfinch, goldcrest and firecrest amongst hedgerows and wooded areas, and an ear out for the sound of water rail and Cetti’s warbler singing all over the place.

Ramsar and Sand Martin hide: 2 carrion crow, 1 moorhen, 1 black-headed gull

Arun Riverlife: 5 tufted ducks, 2 greylag geese, 20 Canada geese, 4 coots, 1 moorhen, 8 mallards, and 12 black-headed gulls.
