Skylarks Serenading

During our recent Breeding Bird Surveys out on the merse we have been greeted by a wonderful chorus of Skylarks and Meadow Pipits. For a fully immersive experience the best place to listen and appreciate is within the Saltcot Merse Observatory. While down there do keep your eyes peeled for a passing Marsh Harrier as one was seen again this morning. Elsewhere, the drake Garganey is still on Folly Pond and Reed Buntings are regular visitors down to the ponds in the Paddock.
