Snipe and teal numbers increasing
Autumn colours and species sightings are increasing but there is plenty of summer colour left in our butterfly survey.

2 September
Lapwing hide: 2 snipe
Ramsar hide: 2 Egyptian goose.
Scrape hide: 2 shoveler., 9 gadwall.
Arun Riverlife lagoon: grass snake.
3 September
Sand Martin hide: 1 gadwall, 1 green sand piper.
4 September
Arun Riverlife: 4 tufted ducks.
Reedbed: great spotted woodpecker, teal, 10 long-tailed tits.
Scrape hide: Sparowhawk, 6 gadwall, 12 teal, 7 shoveler, 1 grey heron, 1 water rail.
Butterfly garden near Lapwing hide: 3 bullfinches.
Sensory garden: hummingbird hawkmoth.

Run Riverlife lagoon: 12 tufted ducks, 1 gadwall.
7 September
Arun Riverlife: 48 mallard, 16 tfted ducks, 1 kingfisher, 2 Egyptian goose
Wetlands Discovery: 1 pochard, 4 tufted ducks., 40 house martins.
Wet Grasslands: 1 snipe.
Ramsar and Sandmartin hide: 30 sand martins, 20 house martins, 3 shoveler.
8 September
Lapwing hide: green sandpiper, 1 kingfisher
Sand Martin hide: 1 swift, 30 sand martins.
