Some morning sightings

South Lake

Plenty of action here...Spotted Redshank (also seen on the Tack Piece today), 3 Common Redshank, 8 Ruff, 30 Golden Plover, 110+ Black-tailed Godwit, 700 Lapwing, 500 Dunlin and 4 Oystercatcher on the wader scrape/duck marsh. A single Little Grebe and Great Crested Grebe on the deep lake with the duck species. A male Peregrine buzzed the flock at 0945am.

About 240 Wigeon, 120 Teal and a few Pintail on the flood.

Two Bitterns seen late morning yesterday.

Holden Tower

Little Grebe and 80 Wigeon on the pool.
36 Gadwall on the Long Ground.

Willow Hide

Snipe and Water Rail. Singing Song Thrush, Dunnock and Robin with Greenfinch singing in the Decoy.

Kingfisher Hide

Little Grebe and 6 Gadwall on the channel.
