Visitors will be able to experience the spooky side of WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre over half term and Halloween.

A gang of scary pumpkins have been hidden in the grounds for families to track down. As a reward for finding them they will receive a sweet treat on their return to the visitor centre.

Over the week (October 25 to November 2) there will also be two amphibian sessions a day so children can meet some of the colourful characters living at Toad Hall and even handle them if they are feeling brave.

On Friday 31st kids can also make a Halloween wand and mask, an egg-box bat and enjoy building a mini den for a model animal.

Sue Belej, Learning Manager, said: “With the autumn colours Slimbridge looks amazing at this time of year. We are offering families the chance to get closer to nature with our hands-on fun activities with a spooky twist.”
