Stilt still here and the last Avocets fledge
The male Black-winged Stilt remains on site

The male Black-winged Stilt returned to the lower pond after a sojourn elsewhere, the darker markings on the head are fading so it's looking whiter headed. Other waders coming and going included a Spotted Redshank or two, male Ruff, 129 Black-tailed Godwits, Green Sandpiper and the last of our Avocet families have fledged, none were present early morning.
South Lake/Hogarth Hide
Grey Heron stalking a brood of 2 Tufted Duck but they have formed a crèche on the deeper channel with the Gadwall, Coot, Moorhen and Mallard broods and are fending it off. The Crane family are feeding in the Duck Marsh.

Male Ruff, 2 Spotted Redshank and 38 Redshank but they mostly moved to the Rushy, 85 Black-tailed Godwit (includes a colour ringed bird), 7 Little-ringed Plover (3 juveniles), 6 Oystercatcher, 3 Lapwing and 2 Green Sandpiper on the wader scrape,

10 Green Sandpiper, 7 Lapwing, juvenile Redshank and a Black-tailed Godwit.
Top New Piece
Green Sandpiper, 8 Lapwing, 24 Teal, a few broods of Gadwall and a Little Grebe.
Estuary Tower
Greenshank feeding in the middle of the estuary on a tidal pool, 80+ Avocet, 92 Curlew, 70+ Shelduck, 10 Black-tailed Godwit and 6 Oystercatcher on the mudflats.
Middle Point/Summer Walkway
Lots of fledged juv Reed Bunting and Warbler, Great Tits and Chiffchaffs
