Teachers go wild for free at WWT Slimbridge

Teachers are being invited to go wild after school on a taster session at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

The wildlife attraction has organised two early evening events for teachers to experience first-hand how outdoor learning sessions inspire children and bring the classroom curriculum to life.

As well as meeting our learning team, the teachers will be treated to canapés and be given a goody bag to take away with them.

Sue Belej, Learning Manager, at WWT Slimbridge, said: “Come along to these taster sessions to find out more about how we can tailor our outdoor learning experiences to meet your needs and how your children would benefit from a visit to us, or pick-up outdoor activity ideas to support your own teaching and learning.”

WWT Slimbridge welcomes thousands of children a year to take part in one of its learning programmes. Research shows that learning outdoors helps improve children’s personal, social and emotional development.

The taster sessions are on March 6 and 8 May starting from 4pm. To book your free place on either date call our team on 01453 891117 or look online at wwt.org.uk/learn/learn-at-wwt-slimbridge/
