Tern Sp.

A Common or Arctic Tern was reported early afternoon flying North through the reserve, a very early record here.

A young Peregrine spent a while on the reserve in the morning. Other raptors included Marsh Harrier, Buzzard and Kestrel. A Barn Owl was roosting in the open sided barn near the Sewage Works.

Waders; 50+ Lapwing, 71 Avocet, 60+ Black-tailed Godwit, many developing breeding pumage, 20 Ruff, 10 Oystercatcher, 4 Redshank and 2 Snipe.

Swallow and Sand Martins feeding over the Reed Bed. Also Cetti's Warblers there.
