The Sightings 17/08/2018 - Nuthatch!
A Nuthatch was seen in the Spinney Wood (near the Zeiss Hide) this morning. Although common in some places, it is a very unusual bird for the site.

118 Black-tailed Godwit, 18 Ruff, 17 Redshank, Green Sandpiper, 3 Snipe, Grey Heron, Kingfisher, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe with chick

Holden Tower
Peregrine on post, 30 Curlew on Dumbles with another 15 to south and 19 on river, also mixed flock 52 small waders on river and Little Egret and Oystercatcher. At least 20 Yellow Wagtail noted with cattle

Redshank, 5 Green Sandpiper, 2 adult Ruff, juvenile Little-ringed Plover, 27 Black-tailed Godwit, 6 Avocet, Ringed Plover
All the waders are very mobile this morning, high tide is at approximately 1300, keep an eye out around midday for waders being pushed off of the river and onto the Slimbridge scrapes.
