Today's Sightings
Holden Tower
The Bonxie is still around, some what distantly on the estuary eating a gull with a flock of Crows in attendance. The Whitefront flock (19) were here but moved out onto the estuary and a large female Peregrine was on the edge of the Dumbles. A nice little flock of Meadow Pipits and Linnets were in the scrape but still no repeat show of Saturdays Water Pipit. An unseasonal Green Sandpiper flew over and dropped into the back of the floods at the south finger and a few small parties of Song Thrush have been moving south. Around 300 Lapwing and 75 Golden Plover were starting to arrive from 10.00.

Kingfisher Hide
This field seems to be flooding rather more quickly than the others and the feral Geese love it. There were 250 Canadas, 120 Greylag ad 70 Barnacles there this morning. Among the 300 Lapwing were 2 Ruff and 6 Redshank. A Little Grebe was in front of the hide and and more Water Rails and a Cettis calling in the reed bed to the left. The feeding station is starting to come alive here with the usual Finches and Tits.
