Today's sightings

Once again the reserve seems to be full of warblers with lots of Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler busily feeding in the hedgerows and willow beds.  The warblers can often get mixed up in flocks of Long-tailed Tits so its worth checking any flocks you hear.  A flock that passed through the Canoe Safari this morning had at least 6 warblers with them.  Greenshank have also been quite active today.  There were at least two birds on the Top New Piece as seen from Zeiss Hide, but there may well me more as birds have been seen elsewhere too.
