Today's sightings

A break from the sun today with a very overcast day with a bit of drizzle in the air, but with temperatures still warm but not as warm as it has been.  Bird activity has cooled off a little today too, but there is still plenty to see.  The Black Tern can still be seen from the South Lake Hide, showing very well, and the Spotted Redshank is still out on the Top New Piece as viewed from the Zeiss Hide.

South Lake Hide
The flocks of Black-tailed Godwit and Lapwing are showing well, along with 4 Ruff and 26 Redshank, all of which occasionally take flight and wheel around as a Sparrowhawk comes through on the hunt.  The juvenile Black Tern continues its stay feeding constantly over the lake.
