Today's sightings

We were fog bound for much of the morning so sightings are limited.

Holden Tower

An immature Peregrine took advantage of the foggy morning to sneak in and hit a male Teal, the unlucky duck was dropped. Despite repeated attempts to retrieve the corpse it failed and gave up.

A small flock of Teal and Wigeon remained on the pool. A Little-ringed Plover and Dark-bellied Brent Goose were on the Dumbles. Two E. White-frotned Geese remained on site.

Tack Piece

The two Egyptian Geese, 8 Cranes, 90 Wigeon, 30 Shoveler and 2 Curlew.

Duck Decoy

Singing Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaff, Raven, 2 Oystercatcher (on Gulf hide roof) and Bullfinches. A party of 30 Sand Martin flew over this afternoon.
