Today's sightings
South Lake
27 Avocets, 140 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Snipe, 6 Oystercatcher (three mating pairs), 5 Lapwing (including an incubating female near Hogarth Hide). Two 2cy Little Gull , 3 Mediterranean Gull (2 second summers, a first winter) were among the many Black-headed Gulls. The pair of Garganey were seen on and off but can be hidden for periods. 5 Crane, 2 Curlew, 10 Wigeon, 48 Shoveler among the highlights.
Kingfisher Hide
Lots of interesting activity as the male feeds the female near the nest hole, some digging and mating. Little Grebe and Little Egret were also present.
