Today's sightings

A gloriously sunny day with some great action including a pair of Marsh Harrier sparring in front of the Holden Tower.  Check out the picture below and others on our Twitter here.

South Lake Hides

Some disturbance first thing to clear the view from the Discovery Hide overlooking the South Lake.  The birds quickly returned and included 193 Black-tailed Godwit, 126 Lapwing, 10 Ruff, 30 Redshank, 3 Snipe plus a selection of duck.

Rushy Hide

The Wood Sandpiper was seen this morning having relocated from the Tack Piece.  At least two Green Sandpiper were also present along with 34 Black-tailed Godwit and a Common Sandpiper.

Robbie Garnett Hide

Just two Green Sandpiper were present this morning along with 4 Lapwing.

Zeiss Hide

Many of the Black-tailed Godwit temporarily relocated to the Top New Piece before moving back to the South Lake.  A single Ruff and 2 Redshank were also present along with 30+ Teal, 20+ Shoveler and several Gadwall.
