A cold night yet again with -6 temperatures but the roads and car park are all dry and ice free. Most of the widlfowl and waders are to be found in three main ice free areas.

South Lake

Thousands of birds here on the ice free parts of the lake or roosting on the ice.

Tufted Duck and Pochard 800
Mandarin Duck 3 (two males and a female)
Great Crested Grebe 1
Cormorant 7 (most sinensis..the Continental Cormorant)
Black-tailed Godwit 1
Lapwing 60
Mallard, Wigeon, Teal, Gadwall, Shelduck, White fronted Goose,
Bewick's Swan all present.
