The four Common Cranes over the Car Park! JSLees WWT

4 Common Cranes from the Great Crane Project on the Somerset levels arrived on Saturday afternoon. They were still present today feeding on various parts of the reserve. They were seen best from the Holden Tower and the Kingfisher Hide, although they spent a lot of the time flying over the centre grounds! They were originally taken as eggs from Germany and raised here at Slimbridge. When big enough they were moved to a facility on the Somerset Levels were they were released. This is the first time we have seen them here since their release.
