Today's sightings-very high tides/tide times and info

Tides

Over the next few days we have some very high tides forecast with three over 10 metres at Sharpness. The salt pasture and saltmarsh area know as the Dumbles should flood on Friday 20 (0851hrs), Saturday 21 (0934hrs) and Sunday 22 February (1015hrs). Times given are for Sharpness Dock so the peak at WWT Slimbridge will be just after this. Best place to view this event is from the Holden Tower or Sloane Tower but it is worth noting that the amount of water is likely to send more birds in view of the hides. Along with the rain it is all set up for a fantastic finale to the winter season.
