Tracks and Signs
Well one good thing about all the recent rains and the accompanying mud, we get to test out our tracks and signs knowledge! The Loaning is very good at the mo for footprints in the mud which is where this one came from. Any guesses? This footprint belongs to one of our site badgers. Other evidence of their movements can be seen down the Avenue where much rotovating has been going on down the grass verges. The Green-winged Teal is still present on Folly Pond but no sign of the Spotted Redshank which appeared briefly again yesterday. Bird song is really cranking up in the hedgerows which is good to hear and compensates for the slightly murky conditions which is making visibility less than ideal.
