Tuesday 2 August sightings-24 Green Sandpiper!
Rushy Pen Hide
We still have three Little-ringed Plover on the mud (lower pond) but water levels are rising quickly after rain, this mud shelf may disappear later or tomorrow. Also present were 7 Green Sandpiper, 4 Black-tailed Godwit and 5 Redshank (of which 5 are juveniles).

Rather quiet here, a pair of Mute Swan are in the pool. We will be cutting and pulling vegetation here today.

12 Green Sandpiper, 20 Teal, 15 Pied Wagtail and a Yellow Wagtail are present again this morning.
Holden Tower
Little Egret, Grey Heron, female Wigeon and Little Grebe in the pool. 5 Yellow Wagtail among the cattle.

On the estuary at high tide- 4 Sanderling, 80 Dunlin, 6 Ringed Plover, 10 Oystercatcher, 5 Redshank (1 juv), 30 Curlew, 2 Whimbrel, 3 Avocet, 2 Snipe flew in from estuary.
Zeiss Hide
Hobby flew through after Meadow Pipits and a Whimbrel flew S calling. On the flood a Curlew, 36 Dunlin, 3 Green Sandpiper, 12 Avocet, 7 Redshank (1 juv), a Snipe and 12 Pied Wagtail fed/roosted.
South Lake
1 Oystercatcher, 2 Green Sandpiper, 144 Black-tailed Godwit, 32 Redshank (2 juveniles), 110 Lapwing and 5 Ruff (1 reeve).
