Update, Monday April 17th
Brighter and warmer today after a chilly start. 12 Whooper Swans on Folly Pond as I type - these were on nearby Upper Locharwoods earlier this morning and I assume will be departing for Iceland imminently. One cygnet remains on The Whooper Pond also. There have been good nos. of passage White Wagtails lately, with over 60 on Saturday, 42 yesterday. Black-tailed Godwits and Redshanks still adorn The Folly Pond, and there are plenty of Barnacle Geese yet, albeit largely quite distant on the merses (saltmarsh).
