There won’t be a ruffled feather in sight when visitors attend a special relaxation evening event at Slimbridge Wetland Centre next week.

Visitors at Relax Afterhours on Saturday 28 July will have the chance to unwind at yoga sessions overlooking Slimbridge’s famous Rushy Lake and to go on meditation walks on the reserve.

Relax Afterhours is the third out of four events at Slimbridge held from 4.30 to 8.30pm this summer allowing visitors to see how the site changes in the evening.

Yoga instructor Claire Rigby will be leading the sessions at the event.

Sally Munro, marketing manager at the Centre, said: “Being amongst wildlife in the beautiful setting of Slimbridge is a great way to unwind and de-stress.

“The evening is an interesting time to visit Slimbridge as you can see how the birds’ behaviour changes and it is great for photography in the softer light.”

There will be summer refreshments available and all the usual attractions such as the canoe safari and outdoor wet playground welly boot land will be open.
