Water levels rising

Not surprisingly the water levels have risen after the day of heavy rain.

At least 29 Bewick's Swans were at the 8am feed along with the ever increasing duck flocks and Greylag Geese.

Holden Tower

Chiffchaff and Fieldfare in the bushes, Mistle and Song Thrush near the pill box.

Tack Piece

46 E. White-fronted Geese were all present among Canada and Greylag Geese and post topping we saw Curlew and Lapwing moving onto the field today. A small flock of Wigeon also came in to graze with 100+ Teal on the scrape.

Zeiss Hide

Two Stonechat, Water Rail and feeding Reed Bunting in the reed bed, flocks of Pintail and Teal on the flood with Snipe in the rushes.

Kingfisher Hide

Simply the top spot at the moment, 3000 Wigeon, 27 Curlew, 5+ Ruff, Dunlin, Lapwing, Golden Plover and Black-tailed Godwit all feeding on the field. A large flock of Teal on the flood.
