Water voles are the fastest declining mammal in the UK, seeing a drop of 90% since the 1970’s! They are facing serious threats from habitat loss and predation by the American mink. East Anglia is still a national stronghold for this species and by improving wetland habitats around the Ouse Washes we are giving these charismatic critters the best chance to thrive!
