We've launched a new Inca Tern talk!

WWT Martin Mere has added to its daily talks and feeds schedule with a brand new Weird or Wonderful Aviary talk.

The new talk covers fun and interesting facts about the Inca terns, spoon bill, comb ducks, and whistling ducks which all call the aviary home.

During the live talk, the wardens will throw up small fish for the Inca terns, which will swoop up and catch the food mid-air. Inca terns are strikingly beautiful birds found on the pacific coast of Chile and Peru, and they have iconic white mustaches which make them stand out from the crowd.

You’ll also get the chance to ask one of our volunteers any questions about the species found in the WoW aviary after the talk concludes.

The Weird or Wonderful Aviary talk will take place at 3pm each day and is free to attend (standard admission to WWT Martin Mere applies if you are not a WWT member)
