First White Wagtail of the year feeding around the edge of the Mere early morning only. Two Little Ringed Plover on the Mere, both male if the aggressive behaviour between them is anything to go by.

An influx of Blackcap and Willow Warbler today with a number of birds singing around the site.

At least 20 Sand Martin and a few Swallow feeding low in overcast conditions.

A Jack Snipe flushed on the Reed Bed Walk this morning was new for the year.

Hen Harrier (ringtail) and Merlin were the pick of the raptors today.
