Whoopers
Cooler but brighter after a few overcast days. A flock of 45 Whooper Swan flew onto the reserve, our biggest influx so far.
Lapwing and a few Ruff are showing well from the Discovery Hide. A Golden Plover was new in hanging with the Lapwing on site.
A few Swallow seen today, probably birds moving South. A considerable passage of Skylark with many feeding on the freshly cut Plover Field.
A Great White Egret flew in late afternoon.
See previous day for a fuller picture as to what can be seen on the reserve.
