Whoopers

Cooler but brighter after a few overcast days. A flock of 45 Whooper Swan flew onto the reserve, our biggest influx so far.

Lapwing and a few Ruff are showing well from the Discovery Hide. A Golden Plover was new in hanging with the Lapwing on site.

A few Swallow seen today, probably birds moving South. A considerable passage of Skylark with many feeding on the freshly cut Plover Field.

A Great White Egret flew in late afternoon.
