Birds

1 Bittern - main lake

1 Kingfisher - sheltered lagoon

1 Wheatear - grazing marsh

2 Green Sandpiper - reservoir lagoon, main lake

1 Little Egret - main lake

1 Little Grebe - main lake

2 Snipe - main lake

10+ Greenfinch - wildside

16+ Wigeon - reservoir lagoon, main lake

30+ Chiff Chaff - feeding in sallow all around the reserve

A lot of winter migrant species on the move. We are seeing an increased number of Teal, Shoveler, Gadwall and Wigeon settling down and feeding on the main lake, reservoir lagoon and sheltered lagoon.

Lizards still basking around wildside.

Good numbers of song thrush appearing in scrubby areas.

Dragonflies/Damselflies: Common Blue Damselfly, Common Darter, Willow Emerald Damselfly, Ruddy Darter, Migrant Hawker, Brown Hawker.
